Destination Balloon Rides is proud to offer hot air balloon flights in Phoenix, Arizona. When it comes to the starting location for our flights, this does vary – and you will be notified of the exact address of the starting location. However, all of our flights take place in North Phoenix.
Of course, you’re going to want to spend as much time in the air as possible. More than our competitors, Destination Balloon Rides does everything we can to ensure you’re flying through the clouds for as long as possible. Your entire experience will last longer, as you can help ready the balloon for flight.
Every flight is different, but you can always find us in our balloons at least 1,000 feet above the ground. We do not soar above 5,000 feet, which is plenty high enough for most people anyway. If you’re afraid of heights, no worries. We take the time to ensure everyone feels comfortable at any height.
On every flight, we have a chase crew which observes our hot air balloon carefully from the ground. They’re always right behind us. When we land the chase crew will then back up the hot air balloon and basket while you enjoy your drinks. We then drive back to the starting location.
If you book this type of hot air balloon ride we can take up to 6 people at a time. If this doesn’t sound like something you want to do, we also offer a private flight for 1 or 2 people. If you have more than 6 people, please call us at 302-236-7425.
Comfortable clothing and footwear
You know how comfortable you are in any given weather, so dress appropriately so that you are comfortable while we’re flying in the balloon. If need be, dress in layers so that you can easily adjust your clothing needs. Also, we highly recommend that you wear closed-toe shoes to ensure your comfort and safety while around the hot air balloon.
You will be given meeting instructions via email or text.
We welcome children as long as they are at least 5 years of age. That is the minimum age required to join us on a flight.
We are one of the only balloon ride companies in the Western US with a balloon basket that has a door.
Yes I said a door!! So boarding will is just as easy as walking through it. Of course if you want the challenge we still have the foot holes in the front of the basket for climbing up over the side of the basket.
We don’t recommend you fly in a balloon if you are pregnant due to possible bumpy landings.
